Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before booking a tour with LDS Tours Cancún by Mormon Encounter ("we," "us," or "our"). By submitting an inquiry or booking a tour, you agree to be bound by these terms.
LDS Tours Cancún offers private, expert-guided tours of Maya archaeological sites, cenotes, and cultural destinations across the Riviera Maya and Yucatán Peninsula. All tours are private group experiences — your tour will not be combined with other groups or travelers.
Tours are led by Juan Carlos Alemán, a 20-year LDS scholar and certified guide with deep expertise in Maya civilization and its connections to the Book of Mormon.
A booking is confirmed when you submit your inquiry via our contact form or WhatsApp and we respond with a written confirmation. Confirmation is subject to date availability and minimum group size requirements (2 adults minimum for most tours; 4 adults for multi-day expeditions).
Bookings are not guaranteed until confirmed in writing by our team.
All prices are quoted in US Dollars (USD) per person. Pricing is based on group size — larger groups receive lower per-person rates. The applicable price is determined by the confirmed group size at time of booking.
Prices are subject to change without notice until a booking is confirmed in writing.
Unless otherwise specified in your booking confirmation, all tours include:
Not included: alcoholic beverages, personal shopping, optional add-ons, gratuities for the guide and driver.
Cancellations by the client:
Cancellations by LDS Tours Cancún: If we must cancel due to weather, road closures, or circumstances beyond our control, we will offer a full reschedule or a full refund. We are not liable for any travel expenses (flights, hotels) incurred by the client.
Our tours involve outdoor activities including walking on uneven terrain, cenote swimming, and in some cases zip-lining or snorkeling. Participants are responsible for assessing their own physical fitness and health conditions before booking.
We reserve the right to refuse participation to any person whose physical or medical condition poses a risk to themselves or others. Children under 5 are free; children 6–10 years old are accommodated at the guide's discretion.
Participants must follow all safety instructions provided by the guide at all times.
LDS Tours Cancún and Mormon Encounter take all reasonable precautions to ensure the safety of tour participants. However, outdoor and adventure activities carry inherent risks. By booking a tour, you accept these risks and release LDS Tours Cancún, Mormon Encounter, and their guides and drivers from liability for any injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in a tour, except in cases of gross negligence.
We strongly recommend that all travelers obtain comprehensive travel insurance including medical and emergency evacuation coverage prior to their trip.
LDS Tours Cancún is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings during any tour. Please leave valuable items secured at your hotel when possible.
We reserve the right to remove any participant from a tour who behaves in a manner that is disruptive, disrespectful to other participants, guides, or local communities, or who fails to follow safety instructions. No refund will be issued in such cases.
Photographs and videos taken during tours may be used by LDS Tours Cancún for marketing purposes unless you explicitly request otherwise in writing before the tour date. Photos taken of you by our guide will be shared with your group only.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Mexico and the state of Quintana Roo. Any disputes arising from a tour booking shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Cancún, Quintana Roo, Mexico.
