About this tour
Isla Mujeres — "Island of Women" — was one of the first sites dedicated to the Maya goddess Ixchel and holds remarkable significance for Book of Mormon cultural comparisons. This full-day Caribbean adventure combines a scenic catamaran crossing from Cancún with world-class snorkeling in the MUSA underwater sculpture museum and pristine coral reefs, followed by a guided cultural exploration of the island's ancient Maya lighthouse temple. Juan Carlos weaves the island's ancient feminine deity worship into a rich scholarly narrative connecting Mesoamerican goddess culture to Book of Mormon civilization.
