DAN LEHI PETLACALCO

Dan was born in the city of Cancun. He was born to Limhi Petlacalco and Alejandra Serrato, the oldest of four brothers  and one sister.

Dan Lehi is a well-known tourist guide who has learned the most relevant values and information
on the archeological sites of the Yucatan Peninsula from his father, Limhi Petlacalco, who has performed the noble labor of tour guiding in Tulum for almost 40 years.

Lehi was born under the covenant, and is very grateful to his parents for having taught him the truths of the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ. He studied in Benemerito de las Americas, the church high school found in Mexico City. It was there where he received his call to serve as a full-time missionary in the Mexico-Cuiliacan mission from 2004-2006.

Since his return from the mission in 2006, Dan has studied ethnography, archeology, art history and contemporary history, among other studies needed for completing training as an official guide.

Currently Lehi works as a tourist guide in the Mayan ruins of Tulum; however, he is very familiar with other sites such as Uxmal, Dzibanche, Kinich Na, Kohunlich, Kabah, Labna, Chichen Itza, Coba, and Ek Balam. In addition, due to his youth and experience as well as his thorough knowledge of the area, he is the ideal guide for any type of tour that includes aquatic activities such as snorkeling or diving, not to mention camping, nature watching.

For this and many other reasonsLDS Guide Dan Lehi is a favorite among tourists visitingCancun, Playa del
Carmen and the Riviera Maya.
